At just $449 USD for a queen, Full Moon is much less expensive than many of its closest bed-in-a-box competitors. And with an eye-catching design, cooling gel foam, and convenient boxed delivery, Full Moon has all the features you could ask for in a value mattress.

First Impressions: Straight Out of the Box
The Arrival
Full Moon can be purchased online from the company’s website.
The mattress arrives at your door in a cardboard box and is shipped free of charge to most US households. In some regions, you can waive the necessary signature and have the mattress dropped off while you’re away from home. For some remote locations, additional shipping charges may apply.
The Unboxing
Cut open the top of the box and use the ‘tip-and-pull’ method to slide Full Moon out of the box. After cutting open the packaging, Full Moon expands to its full, 8-inch height in about 2 minutes.
The Look
Full Moon is unmistakably American in appearance. A single blue stripe with stars decorates one end of the mattress. The middle section is a light gray for contrast. The entire cover is made from a soft-knit blend of polyester and viscose. Look close and you’ll see small dimples in the cover for added texture. Full Moon is subtly branded with a maroon-red tag stitched to the corner of the mattress.
The Feel
Full Moon is available in one firmness — what the company describes as a ‘perfectly balanced’ medium-firm. When you lie on the mattress, there is a light amount of sinkage into the top layer. Sleepers will notice the cooling gel comfort layer cradles the shoulders and hips, while helping maintain ideal spinal alignment in all sleeping positions throughout the night.
Official Test Results: How Do Engineers Rate the Full Moon Mattress?
The following results were determined by licensed 3rd-party engineers, commissioned by us:
To be able to accurately rate and compare the performance of the mattresses reviewed on this website, it was necessary to hire licensed 3rd-party engineers. Their independence and operating standards help to ensure the results remain unbiased, valid, and reliable. Each mattress was evaluated using the same strict methodology to protect the overall integrity of the results. The full report is linked below and has been given the official stamp of approval from a certified engineer operating under a strict ethical code of conduct.
*Be advised: Mattress testing conducted outside of this professional standard poses a greater risk of validity errors or reviewer bias.*
How Our Engineers Test Each Mattress:
Test Scores | Full Moon |
---|---|
Firmness: | Results coming soon |
Edge support: | Results coming soon |
Motion isolation: | Results coming soon |
Bounce: | Results coming soon |

Feel & Firmness
The Juno is a medium-firm mattress. According to the testing conducted by third-party engineers (commissioned by us), it is rated at 5.6 / 10 on the firmness spectrum. The Juno mattress is a balanced mix of support and comfort, with some ‘hug.’

Edge Support
Foam mattresses often have lower edge support scores than their spring and hybrid counterparts. According to the testing conducted by third-party engineers (commissioned by us), the Juno is rated at 4.0 / 10 on the edge support scale.

Motion Isolation
Motion isolation in foam mattresses is usually very good and one of the main reasons couples make the switch from innerspring to memory foam. According to the testing conducted by third-party engineers (commissioned by us), the Juno performed above average in this regard, rating at 6.2 / 10 on the motion isolation scale.

Bounce
Because foam mattresses often have very high motion isolation scores, they tend to also have low bounce ratings. According to the testing conducted by third-party engineers (commissioned by us), the Juno mattress rated 2.6 / 10 for bounce, which is about average for similar foam mattresses.

Full Moon is a combination foam mattress. By pairing two different types of foam with different densities and features, Full Moon offers comfort, cooling, and support in a relatively straightforward configuration.
The Full Moon mattress is available only in one firmness option. This ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach is quite common among mattress-in-a-box retailers.
Full Moon Mattress Layers

The Full Moon mattress contains two layers of foam. Like many combination foam mattresses available on the market today, these two layers work together to provide comfort and support.
- First layer: 2 inches of Full-Body Cooling Gel Foam. This top layer offers contoured comfort, as well as overall cooling and breathability. Foam density: 2.5 lbs/ft³.
- Second layer: 6 inches of Total Support Foam. This bottom layer allows Full Moon to provide support and firmness to sleepers. This layer improves overall edge support while reducing motion transfer. Foam density: 1.8 lbs/ft³.
Full Moon Mattress Cover

Full Moon’s cover design is as American as apple pie and the Fourth of July. Most notable is the blue stripe decorated with five-point stars. Each end of the mattress is capped in white. Full Moon’s middle section is a lightly flecked gray. When you run your hand over the soft-knit surface you’ll notice small perforations that give the cover a pleasant texture. Finally, there’s a zipper underneath the mattress that makes it possible for you to remove the cover if necessary for easier care and maintenance.

Final Thoughts on the Full Moon Mattress
In the ultra-competitive bed-in-a-box category, it’s not enough to have a value-priced product. Many shoppers now want a mattress that’s made locally. This is where Full Moon by GoodMorning.com stands out.
Unlike many mattresses that are made in China and shipped overseas, Full Moon is made in the USA (from global materials), has CertiPUR-US® certification, and is available exclusively to American customers. And with a price of just $449 for a queen, Full Moon looks to be a smart buy for people on a budget.
Although we don’t yet have our engineer test results, we expect the Full Moon cooling gel foam mattress to offer a balanced mix of comfort and support, along with good motion isolation.
We’re looking forward to seeing how Full Moon stacks up to rivals from Casper, Novaform, and IKEA. Stay tuned!
