The Endy Mattress Construction
The Endy Mattress (Medium-Firm version) we reviewed stands 10" tall. The Firm version is an inch shorter, whilst the Plush version is an inch taller in comparison.
Mattress Layers
The Endy Mattress is constructed with 3 layers of CertiPUR-US® certified polyurethane foam.
- 1st Layer: 2" Endy Comfort Foam that features an open-cell construction infused with cooling gel for heat dissipation and contouring comfort.
- 2nd Layer: 3" transition foam that offers responsive pressure relief and helps reduce motion transfer, creating a smooth transition between the plush top layer and the firm base.
- 3rd Layer: 5" dense base foam for foundational support, helping the mattress maintain its shape and stability.
Mattress Cover
The Endy has a two-tone cover in white and grey, with a soft quilted pattern on top. It's made from a polyester-spandex blend that's breathable, moisture-wicking, and machine washable. Just unzip the top panel to remove and clean it.
Mattress Testing
To ensure our mattress reviews are thorough and trustworthy, we buy the products ourselves and have them tested by independent licensed engineers (commissioned by us) with no stake in the results.
These third-party engineers apply a consistent testing process to every mattress using a detailed framework. Every mattress is tested the same way, whether it's foam or hybrid. Because these types perform differently, we rate them on separate scales to ensure the scores are fair and meaningful.
We believe independent testing is essential to producing reliable and meaningful comparisons. That's why all test results are reviewed and signed off by an APEGA-certified engineer, operating under a strict code of ethics.
We use the testing results and over 40 criteria to build our scoring methodology.
Tests and reviews without this level of professional oversight may be more prone to errors and unintended bias.

Delivery & Other Policies
When you order an Endy mattress, it'll show up at your door neatly packed in a box. Delivery usually takes 1–7 business days days after the order is placed, and shipping is free across most of Canada.
Endy also includes a default 10-year limited warranty with every mattress purchase. If you register as an Endy VIP after purchase, that warranty can be extended to 15 years. Registration as an Endy VIP is free.
Endy gives you 100 nights after delivery to return the mattress if you are second-guessing your decision. You only need to reach out to the Endy customer support team to initiate a return if needed. Gently used mattresses in good condition are often donated to Endy's charitable partners. Endy mentions that the amount of donations they've made, if stacked vertically, is over 2.5 times the height of the CN Tower.

Company Overview
Endy was founded in 2015, and acquired by Sleep Country Canada Holdings Inc. in 2018. While its original founders are no longer involved, the company still operates as a direct-to-consumer brand and now sells a range of furniture and bedding products.
Since the release of their first mattress, Endy has launched three other mattress models: the Mira mattress (2019, discontinued), the Endy Sport (2021, discontinued), and the Endy Hybrid (2022).
Customer Reviews & Feedback
Third-party review sites like the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and Trustpilot collect and publish customer feedback about companies and their products, and aren't controlled by the companies being reviewed. They offer a snapshot of overall customer satisfaction and highlight common issues shoppers might face. Checking ratings on sites like these can be a useful way for customers to make more informed purchasing decisions.
Endy is rated "A+" on the BBB at the time of writing. It has a customer review rating of 1 out of 5 stars. On Trustpilot, the brand has a "Poor" rating with a customer score of 2.5 out of 5 stars, though this is based on a relatively small number of reviews. That makes it hard to get a clear picture of what the average customer experience looks like.
Endy is owned by Sleep Country Canada, which also holds an "A+" (unaccredited) BBB rating and a Trustpilot rating of "Poor" with a customer review average of 1.8 out of 5 stars.
Should You Buy The Endy?
The Endy Mattress has become one of the most recognizable boxed mattresses in Canada. It has a medium-firm feel and performed well in third-party testing. However, it has a low cooling features score compared to other mattresses we've reviewed. The Endy Mattress could be a good fit if you're looking for:
- A mattress made in Canada
- Great edge support and motion isolation
- A machine-washable cover
If you're looking for similar performance at a lower price, Douglas Original is worth considering. At $799 for a queen size, Douglas's sleep trial is nearly 9 months longer than Endy's. Its 20-year default warranty is also twice as long as Endy's, and many customers back up the mattress' impressive durability.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Endy mattress worth it?
The Endy mattress tested medium-firm and performed well in third-party engineer testing (commissioned by us). It should suit most sleepers. The 100-night trial and 10-year warranty are pretty standard, and it scored a little lower for cooling features than some other options in Canada.
If cooling is a priority, or if you'd rather have a longer trial, stronger warranty, and more bundled extras, the Douglas Original is a great alternative. It includes a full 365 nights to try it out, a 20-year warranty, and a free bedding bundle. All for a lower price of $799 for a queen.
Is Endy made in Canada?
Yes, Endy mattresses are made in Canada. They're manufactured at facilities in Ontario and Quebec.
Can you wash the Endy mattress cover?
Yes, the top cover is machine-washable. The zip-off top cover is machine washable. Use a gentle cycle to clean it, then dry on low heat or air dry. Once it's ready, just zip it back onto the mattress.
What's included in the Endy mattress warranty?
Endy includes a 10-year warranty that covers one repair or replacement for factory issues. You can bump that up to 5 more years at no cost by registering as an Endy VIP. According to the website, the warranty applies as long as the mattress is used with a proper support base, like a box spring or adjustable bed.
Is there memory foam in the Endy mattress?
No, there's no memory foam in the Endy mattress. It uses Endy Comfort Foam, which is their own type of open-cell polyurethane foam. According to Endy, it's better at managing heat and keeps the same firmness no matter the season. Endy also says it responds more quickly than memory foam.
If you're looking for a foam mattress that does use memory foam and includes cooling gel to help regulate temperature, check out the Douglas Original. It's made in Canada, tested by third-party engineers, and priced at $799 for a queen.

All the content on our site, from product reviews to comparisons, is intended to provide general information to help guide your mattress search. We work with independent third-party engineers to test all mattress products we purchase, and we use the test results alongside public data to inform our reviews and comparisons.
The product details in each review reflect how the mattress performed at the time we purchased and tested it, as shown by the "Published" date.
Since brands can update their materials, pricing, or availability over time, we also note when the product was originally purchased, either directly in the article or on our disclaimer page, to maintain clarity and transparency.
If you see an "Updated" tag on a page with a more recent date than the published date, it simply means we've made editorial changes. It does not necessarily indicate any update to the mattress or its test data.
Finally, unless otherwise stated, any mention of where a mattress is made refers specifically to the product we received and tested.
