Logan & Cove Choice is the most affordable mattress in the Logan & Cove lineup. A queen sells for $999, which is a solid price for a hybrid with foam and coils. This Canadian-made mattress is 12.5" tall and has a medium-firm feel that works for most sleep styles.

It features CryoFusion™ cooling nanofibres in the cover to help with temperature, plus ecoLuxe® gel foam for pressure relief. There's also Elastex® foam, which mimics latex, and zoned coils underneath for added support and durability.

Choice comes with a 365-night sleep trial, and a 15-year warranty, as well as a free bedding bundle, which includes a sheet set, pillow(s), mattress protector, and pillow protector(s). If Choice doesn't have enough of the features you're looking for, you can look into upgrading to the Logan & Cove Frontier or Pinnacle for an added touch of support and comfort. The S&S Hybrid is a hybrid mattress made in Canada by the Sleep Country owned brand, Silk & Snow. S&S Hybrid comes in 3 firmness options: we purchased the medium-firm model for this review that stands 13" tall. It pairs a memory foam comfort layer with a pocketed coil base to balance pressure relief and support. Its Euro-top design adds an extra layer of cushioning for a softer feel when lying down.

While Silk & Snow's medium-firm hybrid mattress has a layer of cooling gel foam, this layer doesn't seem to be in the other firmness options. The firm model doesn't have any added cooling features other than its coils, and the plush model has a layer of cooling fabric, but not gel-infused foam. Upgrading to the plush model from the medium-firm option costs an extra $550.

A medium-firm, queen-size S&S Hybrid is priced at $1,000. Silk & Snow backs it with a 365-night sleep trial and a 15-year warranty, just like Logan & Cove. The company is typically running a deal where you get a free bedding bundle with your mattress.

Logan & Cove Choice

• 1st Layer: 1" of breathable hollow fibre fill and cooling gel-infused foam to offer a cushioned, temperature-neutral surface.
• 2nd Layer: 1" of ecoLuxe® cooling gel foam designed to cushion pressure points, especially around your shoulders and hips, while helping to disperse excess heat.
• 3rd Layer: 1" of Elastex® foam for subtle bounce that makes it easier to change positions, along with consistent, full-body support.
• 4th Layer: 9" individually wrapped pocketed coils designed to cut down on motion transfer, provide precise support to different areas of your body, and encourage healthy alignment of your spine.

Logan & Cove Choice has a diamond-tufted quilting pattern on the top cover, with CryoFusion™ cooling nanofibres. Its plush top cover is white, and is connected to the dark grey sidewall with forest green piping. Like lots of other hybrid mattresses, the cover isn't machine washable, but it's soft, breathable, and designed to wick heat from your body.

S&S Hybrid

• 1st Layer: 1" of quilted gel foam that evenly distributes body weight and minimizes pressure buildup.
• 2nd Layer: 2" of high-density cooling gel-infused transition memory foam that adds pressure relief and supports the transition between the soft top layer and firmer coil base.
• 3rd Layer: 9" of double-tempered pocketed spring coils are designed to respond independently to movement, helping to limit motion transfer and provide better spinal alignment.

S&S Hybrid has a white Euro-top cover, with blue sidewalls and black piping connecting the two. The cover is made of polyester treated with antimicrobial properties to help promote cleanliness. That said, it doesn't seem to have any cooling or moisture-wicking properties. It's not removable, so you should only spot-clean it.

Mattress Performance

In third-party engineer testing (commissioned by us), both the Logan & Cove Choice and S&S Hybrid came out in the medium-firm range. That firmness level is comfortable for most people, whether you sleep on your back, stomach, or side.

Both mattresses also did well in the tests that factor into our scoring system. S&S Hybrid tested slightly better for motion isolation, while Choice scored higher for edge support. Good motion isolation helps keep movements from your partner from waking you at night. Edge support matters too, especially for people who like to sit or sleep near the edge.

Where Logan & Cove Differs:

• Choice consistently scored very good results for motion isolation and edge support, rating at 7.5/10 for both in third-party engineer testing that we commissioned. This outperforms S&S Hybrid's edge support.
• Choice also has more cooling features than the S&S Hybrid. Its cover uses CryoFusion™ cooling nanofibres that feel cool to the touch. Inside, EcoLuxe® cooling gel foam helps pull heat away while you sleep, and the open-cell Elastex® foam and pocket coils add extra airflow through the lower layers. Its features earned it a 5.0/10 cooling features score.
• When it came to bounce, Logan & Cove Choice earned a slightly above-average bounce score for a hybrid mattress. This gives you a bit more responsiveness and will help spring you out of bed in the morning or let you change positions more easily.

Where Silk & Snow Differs:

• S&S Hybrid offers very good motion isolation, scoring 7.9/10 in third-party engineer testing. Even large movements shouldn't disturb your partner too much.
• S&S scored a lower cooling features score of 1.8/10. It earned points for its gel-infused foam layers and its pocket coils.
