The Douglas Canadian Down Duvet is an all-natural, premium product made from 100% Hutterite duck down sourced in Canada. It comes in two different options: lightweight and all-season, so that you can find the perfect fit for your sleep needs.
Douglas made this duvet using “baffle box” construction. This grid layering method keeps down fill in place, preventing it from lumping at one end of the duvet. The duvet also includes corner loops, allowing you to secure the corners of the duvet to the corners of a compatible cover using tie strings. The result is a consistently and evenly spread-out duvet, whether on its own or within a cover.
Duvet comes with double-needle stitching for extra durability, and a 400-thread-count outer cotton shell to keep things soft and breathable. It’s also antimicrobial-treated to resist bacteria and odour buildup, which helps keep the fabric fresh between washes.

You can test out your duvet at home for up to 120 nights. If you decide your duvet isn’t working out for you the way you had hoped, the company will arrange the return pickup and issue a full refund.

Douglas is owned by GoodMorning.com, one of Canada’s largest independent online mattress retailers. The Douglas brand was created in 2017 with Canadian shoppers in mind, to address local preferences, climate, and values. Every Douglas mattress is made in Canada using Canadian-sourced materials, and comes with a 365-night trial, allowing customers to test it across all four Canadian seasons.
Douglas has leveraged eight years of experience, engineering data, and customer feedback from its parent company’s first mattress, Novosbed (now Octave), to deliver a product that’s tailored to Canadians.
Third-party review sites like the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and Trustpilot collect and publish customer feedback about companies and their products, and aren’t controlled by the companies being reviewed. They offer a snapshot of overall customer satisfaction and highlight common issues shoppers might face. Checking ratings on sites like these can be a useful way for customers to make more informed purchasing decisions.
Since its launch, Douglas has sold over 300,000 mattresses and expanded its lineup to include three all-foam models, as well as a range of popular accessories. The brand’s reputation has earned it widespread praise among Canadian shoppers, garnering 16,000+ verified five-star reviews.
Douglas is rated “Excellent” on Trustpilot with 4.9/5 stars, based on over 1,000 reviews. GoodMorning.com, Douglas’s parent company, is rated “A+” on BBB with a customer review rating of 4.9/5 stars.

The Douglas Down Duvet is a well-made option for anyone looking for a natural-fill duvet with a straightforward design and good quality. Offered in 2 weight options and 3 standard sizes, it’s built to suit a range of sleep preferences and bedroom setups.
The materials used are durable and thoughtfully chosen, and features like baffle box construction and corner loops help keep the duvet in place throughout the night. It also comes with a 120-night trial and a 5-year warranty, which are longer than what you’ll find with many other bedding products. If you prefer natural fill over synthetic options and want something that feels light but warm, this duvet could be a good fit.
The product details in each review reflect how the mattress performed at the time we purchased and tested it, as shown by the “Published” date.
Since brands can update their materials, pricing, or availability over time, we also note when the product was originally purchased, either directly in the article or on our disclaimer page, to maintain clarity and transparency.
If you see an “Updated” tag on a page with a more recent date than the published date, it simply means we’ve made editorial changes. It does not necessarily indicate any update to the mattress or its test data.
Finally, unless otherwise stated, any mention of where a mattress is made refers specifically to the product we received and tested.
