Thanks to modern compression methods and the rising popularity of the bed-in-a-box, mattresses can now be shipped far more efficiently and conveniently than ever before. Customers no longer need to take a day off work to accept a delivery. Boxed beds are now delivered with the same convenience as most Amazon orders. Some bed-in-a-box companies even offer same-day delivery to certain areas.
Polysleep uses specialist logistics companies like FedEx to deliver the Polysleep mattress direct to customers’ doors throughout Canada. In some cases, the delivery can even be left on a porch or deck while the customer is away from home. Shipping is free for Canadians, and Polysleep customers can expect their new mattress to be delivered within 4 to 9 business days.
Like many bed-in-a-box companies, Polysleep heavily promotes their Polysleep mattress sleep trial. At 100 nights, this sleep trial is average in length. Polysleep also offers mattress pick-up, but charges an $85 return fee.
It is worth noting that Mattress-Reviews.com did not complete the return process for the Polysleep mattress, but received this information via Polysleep’s website and their ‘Live Chat’ function.

The Polysleep mattress was delivered to us within the expected delivery time. The mattress was well-protected by heavy-duty plastic layers within the box to keep the product in good condition during shipping.
The Polysleep mattress box was sealed with an adhesive glue. Customers might need scissors or a knife to open the box. To prevent potential harm your new mattress, remember to be extra careful when using sharp objects to open the box.
Once opened the compressed mattress is easy to remove from the box. We recommend a ‘tip-and-pull’ motion to slowly slide out the mattress from its cardboard packaging. Simply tip the box from a vertical position down onto its side, and then pull the lightweight box away from the bundled mattress. We recommend doing this process in the room where you intend to use the mattress.
The Polysleep mattress is protected with three thick layers of heavy-duty plastic – one to compress it in a vacuum seal, and two to keep it tightly rolled in a cylinder shape.
Customers will need to unwrap the first layer in order to unroll the mattress, which will still be in its compressed form. Some helpful advice at this stage is to place the rolled up mattress onto the designated bed frame. Next, like the end of a roll of tape, find and peel back the outer layer of plastic. You can use the momentum of unrolling the compressed mattress along the bed frame to help remove the rest of this layer, which could be a few meters long. After completing this process, the mattress will lie unrolled before you.
Next, cut the final layer of plastic. The vacuum seal now broken, the Polysleep mattress will begin to decompress. Remove this final layer of plastic as the mattress expands to its full height. With the Polysleep mattress, full expansion took about 3 minutes.

Polysleep is a combination foam mattress. By pairing together different foam types, densities, and firmness levels, Polysleep has designed a configuration that offers reasonable comfort, cooling, and support.
The Polysleep mattress is available only in one firmness, adopting the ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach used by most bed-in-a-box companies.
Polysleep Mattress Layers
The Polysleep mattress contains three layers of foam:
- First layer: 3” ventilated hybrid foam. This layer is designed to provide optimal comfort and temperature performance.
- Foam density: 3.0 lbs/ft3.
- Second layer: 1.5” soft support foam. This transition layer works with the comfort layer to provide an additional level of support and will help conform to your body shape.
- Foam density: 1.8 lbs/ft3.
- Third layer: 5.5″ base foam. This bottom support layer gives the mattress its structure and prevents sleepers from sinking in too far.
- Foam density: between 1.5 lbs/ft3 and 2 lbs/ft3.
Polysleep Mattress Cover
The Polysleep mattress has a two-tone cover. The bottom part features a purple mesh fabric, and the top part of the liquid-repellent cover is white with a speckle-knit pattern. Despite its zipper, the topside is not machine washable. Still, this removable design will make it easier to spot clean your Polysleep cover.

Feel & Firmness

The Polysleep mattress does not have excessive ‘hug,’ and its three-layer foam design ensures there is no excessive sinkage.
Motion Isolation
Motion isolation in foam mattresses is usually very good and one of the main reasons couples make the switch from innerspring to memory foam. According to the testing conducted by third-party engineers (commissioned by us), minimal motion transfer was detected with the Polysleep mattress; it ranked 8 / 10 on the motion isolation scale.
Edge Support
Foam mattresses are not known for their edge support; in fact, it is often one of the main considerations for mattress shoppers contemplating the move from innerspring to foam. According to the testing conducted by third-party engineers (commissioned by us), the Polysleep is ranked well above average with 8.9 / 10 on the edge support scale.
Bounce
