        Product Overview

Spa Sensations is a firm innerspring mattress made in Indonesia by the Zinus bed-in-a-box company. In Canada, it’s sold primarily through Walmart and a few other retail partners. It earned good scored for bounce and edge support in third-party engineer testing. In third-party engineer testing (commissioned by us), this mattress scored well for bounce and motion isolation. It contains a layer of comfort foam to cushion the body, and a layer of metal springs that to promote breathability and airflow.
At $160 for a queen, it’s a budget-friendly choice that might suit shoppers looking for a simple, affordable mattress. That said, Zinus doesn’t offer a sleep trial for Canadians, and the mattress only comes with a standard 10-year limited warranty.
If you’re comparing options, check out Juno. It’s designed to suit all sleep styles, and has more features, like a layer of cooling gel foam. Plus, Juno is made in Canada and comes with a 120-night sleep trial, free returns with a full refund, and a 15-year warranty. It also ships with a free bedding bundle that includes a mattress protector, pillow(s), sheets, and pillow protector(s).

Spa Sensations Mattress Construction
Spa Sensations by Zinus is an 8" innerspring mattress with a firm feel and a simple design. It has 3 layers, including metal coils that add a bit of breathability. However, it has no extra cooling features.

Mattress Layers
- 1st Layer: 3/4″ of conforming viscoelastic latex foam. That makes this mattress comfortable and quickly conforms to your body's shape.
- 2nd Layer: 1" of high-density foam that prevents you from feeling the coils beneath.
- 3rd Layer: 6" of metal coils. It's designed to add support and firmness to the mattress, and also help to boost airflow as the coils allow for breathability on the mattress.
Mattress Cover
The cover on this mattress is sewn with a jacquard pattern, a type of woven design that adds a textured, geometric look. The fabric is 100% polyester and isn't removable or machine washable, so you'll need to spot-clean it if there are any spills or stains.
During our review, we noticed a spring sticking out from the bottom of the mattress, which caused a small scratch during unboxing. While this could be a one-off issue, it's worth noting.
Mattress Testing

To ensure our mattress reviews are thorough and trustworthy, we buy the products ourselves and have them tested by independent licensed engineers (commissioned by us) with no stake in the results.

These third-party engineers apply a consistent testing process to every mattress using a detailed framework. Every mattress is tested the same way, whether it's foam or hybrid. Because these types perform differently, we rate them on separate scales to ensure the scores are fair and meaningful.
We believe independent testing is essential to producing reliable and meaningful comparisons. That's why all test results are reviewed and signed off by an APEGA-certified engineer, operating under a strict code of ethics.
We use the testing results and over 40 criteria to build our scoring methodology.
Tests and reviews without this level of professional oversight may be more prone to errors and unintended bias.

Delivery & Other Policies
If you're looking to buy a Spa Sensations mattress in Canada, you'll need to go through a third-party retailer. As of now, Walmart is one of the authorized sellers. Walmart shipping is free on orders over $35 and usually takes 1–3 business days to reach most locations in Canada.
One thing to keep in mind: Zinus doesn't offer a sleep trial for Canadian shoppers. Your return and trial options will depend on the retailer. According to their website, Walmart offers a 90-day free return. However, some Spa Sensations models may be marked final sale, in which case Walmart may direct you to contact Zinus for any issues. Zinus's refund policy is not disclosed, so it may vary.
Zinus does include a 10-year limited warranty, but it only covers manufacturing defects. The warranty becomes void if the mattress is used without a proper foundation, is altered in any way, or if the cover or tags are removed.
If you're looking for a mattress with strong cooling features, a longer sleep trial period, the option to return the mattress for a full refund, and a 15-year warranty, you might want to consider Juno.

Company Overview
Zinus is a global mattress and furniture brand that started in South Korea in 1979, founded by Youn Jae Lee. The company designs and manufactures its own products, including foam and hybrid mattresses, bed frames, and other furniture. The company does not sell directly to Canadians. Instead, Zinus sells products in Canada through third-party retailers such as Amazon.ca, Wayfair, Walmart, and others.
Zinus is currently facing a proposed class-action lawsuit in the U.S. after various families had health issues linked to fibreglass in their mattresses. Although Zinus has started selling mattresses with safer fire sock materials, you might prefer a Canadian-made mattress like Juno, which is guaranteed fibreglass-free.

Customer Reviews & Feedback
Third-party review sites like the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and Trustpilot collect and publish customer feedback about companies and their products, and aren't controlled by the companies being reviewed. They offer a snapshot of overall customer satisfaction and highlight common issues shoppers might face. Checking ratings on sites like these can be a useful way for customers to make more informed purchasing decisions.
Zinus is rated "D-" (unaccredited) on Better Business Bureau with a customer review rating of 1/5 stars, and the company is rated "Poor" on Trustpilot with 1.8/5 stars. It doesn't look like the company replies to any customer reviews on these sites.

All the content on our site, from product reviews to comparisons, is intended to provide general information to help guide your mattress search. We work with independent third-party engineers to test all mattress products we purchase, and we use the test results alongside public data to inform our reviews and comparisons.

The product details in each review reflect how the mattress performed at the time we purchased and tested it, as shown by the "Published" date.
Since brands can update their materials, pricing, or availability over time, we also note when the product was originally purchased, either directly in the article or on our disclaimer page, to maintain clarity and transparency.
If you see an "Updated" tag on a page with a more recent date than the published date, it simply means we've made editorial changes. It does not necessarily indicate any update to the mattress or its test data.
Finally, unless otherwise stated, any mention of where a mattress is made refers specifically to the product we received and tested.
