STRUCTUBE LOFT 8 contains 4 layers of foam and measures 8" tall. All foam used in the mattress is CertiPUR-US® certified, meaning it's made without harmful chemicals.

Mattress Layers

  • 1st Layer: 1" of cooling gel-infused memory foam designed to promote comfort and some level of cooling. This can help your body feel supported while reducing heat buildup during the night.
  • 2nd Layer: 1″ charcoal-infused foam that acts as the support layer and helps manage odours, to help keep the mattress feeling fresh over time while adding gentle support for maintaining a more comfortable sleeping temperature by letting heat escape.
  • 3rd Layer: 2″ convoluted foam that allows adequate air flow.
  • 4th Layer: 4″ support foam that provides stability. This layer allows the mattress to maintain its structure and provide support.

Mattress Cover

The STRUCTUBE LOFT 8 mattress has a quilted all-fabric cover with a simple white top panel, grey sides, and an anti-skid base. The cover is designed to be breathable, anti-microbial, and anti-mite. It includes a zipper, but since STRUCTUBE doesn't mention if it's machine washable, spot-cleaning is the safest option.

Mattress Testing

Made in

Firmness

In third-party engineer testing that we commissioned, the STRUCTUBE LOFT 8 scored 5.7/10 for firmness. This lands it in the medium-firm range for mattress firmness, which is good for all those who sleep on their backs or stomachs.

If you want a mattress with even more firmness, you might want to take a look at the Juno, which earned a firmness score of 6.0/10. Juno is a great option if you're a light sleeper or share your bed.

Our Rating
?

Determined by how much the mattress sinks under applied weight. The lower the score out of 10, the softer the mattress.

5.7

/10

Edge Support

STRUCTUBE LOFT 8 scored 8.3/10 for edge support. A very good score for a foam. You can sit or sleep near the edge without feeling like you'll slide off, which can be helpful for those who share a bed or use the full surface.

Our Rating
?

Determined by how much the mattress edge sinks under applied weight. A mattress with average to good edge support will score 5/10 or higher.

8.3

/10

Cooling Features

STRUCTUBE LOFT 8 has a cooling feature score of 2.2/10 While the the mattress is not designed specifically as a cooling mattress, it does have features that may help regulate temperature:

  1. Cooling gel foam layer that helps draw heat away and improve airflow
  2. Convoluted foam layer designed to boost breathability throughout the mattress

If cooling is important but you want to keep costs down, Juno is a more affordable choice. It scored 3.2/10 for cooling and includes cooling gel foam, with the option to upgrade to a Cool+ CoolSense® cover made from cooling yarn. Together, these features help the sleep surface stay cooler and promote better airflow. A queen-size Juno costs $499, compared to $629 for the STRUCTUBE LOFT 8.

Our Rating
?

Determined by entering a mattress's cooling features into our scoring algorithm. The more effective cooling features that are present, the higher the score out of 10.

2.2

/10

Motion Isolation

The STRUCTUBE LOFT 8 scored 6.1/10 for motion isolation. This is a good score for a foam mattress. You might feel larger movements from a partner, but smaller movements shouldn't be noticed.

Our Rating
?

Determined by measuring a medicine ball's impact on the mattress. Average to good motion isolation would be 5/10 or higher.

6.1

/10

Bounce

In third-party engineer testing that we commissioned, the STRUCTUBE LOFT 8 scored 3.3/10 for bounce. Bounce measures how quickly a mattress returns to shape after pressure is applied. A higher bounce makes it easier to change positions, while a lower bounce can help minimize movement transfer.

If you prefer a more stable sleep surface, Juno scored 2.5/10 for bounce, offering greater motion absorption to help limit disturbances from a partner.

Our Rating
?

Determined by dropping a medicine ball onto the mattress. The higher the first bounce, the higher the score out of 10.

Delivery & Other Policies

STRUCTUBE offers two delivery options: in-store pickup and doorstep delivery. In-store pickup can take up to 14 business days. Delivery to your home is free in most major cities on orders over $299, though fees apply if you're outside the free delivery zone. If you live outside Quebec or Ontario, delivery may take up to 14 business days. For $50 more, you can upgrade to "room of choice" delivery. STRUCTUBE doesn't currently offer mattress removal, so you'll need to arrange for disposal separately.

The LOFT 8 mattress arrives rolled in a red plastic-and-canvas bag. You have 7 days to return it, but only if it's unopened and still in its original packaging. Returns can be brought to a store, but refunds are processed separately, so you may need to wait to receive your money back. STRUCTUBE includes a 1-year warranty with this mattress. For reference, many mattress brands offer warranties closer to 10 years.

In comparison, Juno offers a 120-night trial and a 15-year warranty. If you decide to return the mattress during your sleep trial, Juno will arrange a free pickup and a full refund.

Customer Reviews & Feedback

Third-party review sites like the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and Trustpilot collect and publish customer feedback about companies and their products, and aren't controlled by the companies being reviewed. They offer a snapshot of overall customer satisfaction and highlight common issues shoppers might face. Checking ratings on sites like these can be a useful way for customers to make more informed purchasing decisions.

  • Affordable pricing under $700 for a queen
  • Strong edge support and above-average motion isolation

That said, if you want a mattress with a longer warranty 15-year warranty, a longer trial period, and added cooling features, the Juno mattress is worth considering. It offers great motion isolation, and a 120-night trial, all at a lower price point of $499 for a queen size.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are STRUCTUBE mattresses good?

The STRUCTUBE mattress earned decent scores in third-party testing (that we commissioned), but there are some important considerations before you buy. It doesn't include a sleep trial, and once it's opened or used, returns are not accepted. The warranty is just 1 year—far shorter than the industry average of 10 years—so you'll want to weigh that against other options.

If you're looking for more flexibility, consider Juno. 120-night sleep trial, a 15-year warranty, and free returns if it's not the right fit. At just $499 for a queen, it's one of the most budget-friendly options we've tested.

Do STRUCTUBE mattresses come delivered in a box?

STRUCTUBE mattresses are not delivered in a box. Instead, they arrive rolled up inside a plastic and canvas bag. Once delivered, you'll need to remove the mattress from the bag, unroll it, and let it expand.

What is the return process for a STRUCTUBE mattress?

You can return a STRUCTUBE mattress within 7 days of purchase, provided it hasn't been removed from its original bag or used. If you bought it in a STRUCTUBE store, you can return it in person. For online purchases, returns must be arranged by calling their toll-free number. If pickup service is available in your area, STRUCTUBE will organize it, but a $69 fee applies.

What STRUCTUBE mattress alternatives should I consider?

You might want to check out Juno instead. It offers good edge support and above-average motion isolation. It also includes a gel-infused foam layer for cooling, and you can upgrade to a Cool+ cover for added temperature control.

Juno is available in more sizes (including RV options) and comes with a 120-night sleep trial, a 15-year warranty, and a free bedding bundle. At $499 for a queen-size, it's one of the most affordable mattresses we've reviewed.
