At $1,099 for a queen size, it has a non-removable cover that can only be spot cleaned, which might not be ideal if you’re looking for easy maintenance.
If you’re comparing options, Logan & Cove Choice comes with cooling features, like CryoFusion™ cooling nanofibres in the top cover. Hamuq Mattress Construction
The Hamuq Original Hybrid stands 12" tall and features a mix of foam layers with a coil support core. It's designed to offer the contouring feel of foam with the lift and bounce of traditional springs. In third-party engineer testing that we commissioned, it landed in the medium-firm range, which should work for most sleep styles. It also had very good motion isolation and great edge support thanks to its individually pocketed coils and reinforced perimeter.
Mattress Layers
The Original Hamuq Hybrid mattress combines 3 layers that work together to provide comfort, support, and motion isolation.
- 1st Layer: 1" of CloudTech™ foam designed to offer initial softness and help relieve pressure when you lie down.
- 2nd Layer: 2" Zoned TRS Adaptive Gel™ that keeps you from feeling the spring layer while helping to regulate temperatures throughout the night.
- 3rd Layer: 9" of double-tempered, individually pocketed coils that deliver strong overall support and help isolate motion so you don't feel every movement from a partner.
Mattress Cover
The Original Hamuq Hybrid comes with a white quilted CoolClean™ top cover made from a mix of cotton, felt, and polyester. It's both cooling and hypoallergenic. The sidewalls are a deep grey for contrast and stitched with a diamond pattern. While it doesn't have bold colours or many decorative accents, the quilted design adds a layer of comfort and helps keep the top surface of the mattress feeling plush.
One thing to keep in mind: Hamuq's cover isn't removable or machine-washable, so spills will need to be spot-cleaned. Around half an inch of the mattress's height comes from the tufted top panel, which adds some extra loft to the surface.
Mattress Testing
To ensure our mattress reviews are thorough and trustworthy, we buy the products ourselves and have them tested by independent licensed engineers (commissioned by us) with no stake in the results.
These third-party engineers apply a consistent testing process to every mattress using a detailed framework. Every mattress is tested the same way, whether it's foam or hybrid. Because these types perform differently, we rate them on separate scales to ensure the scores are fair and meaningful.
We believe independent testing is essential to producing reliable and meaningful comparisons. That's why all test results are reviewed and signed off by an APEGA-certified engineer, operating under a strict code of ethics.
We use the testing results and over 40 criteria to build our scoring methodology.
Tests and reviews without this level of professional oversight may be more prone to errors and unintended bias.

Delivery & Other Policies
Hamuq ships mattresses free via FedEx to most Canadian addresses, with delivery usually taking 2–7 business days business days. If you're located in the Territories, additional shipping charges may apply. In-home setup isn't offered, so you'll need to bring the mattress in and set it up yourself.

All the content on our site, from product reviews to comparisons, is intended to provide general information to help guide your mattress search. We work with independent third-party engineers to test all mattress products we purchase, and we use the test results alongside public data to inform our reviews and comparisons.
The product details in each review reflect how the mattress performed at the time we purchased and tested it, as shown by the "Published" date.
Since brands can update their materials, pricing, or availability over time, we also note when the product was originally purchased, either directly in the article or on our disclaimer page, to maintain clarity and transparency.
If you see an "Updated" tag on a page with a more recent date than the published date, it simply means we've made editorial changes. It does not necessarily indicate any update to the mattress or its test data.
Finally, unless otherwise stated, any mention of where a mattress is made refers specifically to the product we received and tested.
