Product Overview
The Sealy Posturepedic Hollycourt is a 14.25″ tall, Euro-top hybrid mattress with a medium-firm feel. Apart from the price of your Costco membership, this mattress comes in at an affordable $749, but is only available in queen size. The mattress comes with a 10-year manufacturer’s warranty, but no sleep trial. Instead, you can probably return it thanks to Costco’s generous policy, although your return will still need to be approved to get your money back.
Hollycourt has a layer of convoluted, gel-infused foam that regulates temperature while you sleep. Its second layer is pre-compressed gel-infused foam, which the Costco website says helps keep the foam supportive for longer. Hollycourt is made with Sealy CleanProtect fabric, which is 100% polyester with an antibacterial treatment.
Mattresses like Logan & Cove Choice offer more competitive features. Choice comes with cooling features like cooling nanofibres in the top cover, and breathable open-cell, cooling gel foam. It also comes with a 365-night sleep trial, a 15-year warranty, and a free bedding bundle with your mattress purchase.

Sealy Mattress Construction
The Sealy Posturepedic Hollycourt is a 4-layer hybrid mattress made in Canada. At 14.25" tall, it includes both layers of foam and individually pocketed coils. Like most hybrids, and especially because of its Euro-top construction, Hollycourt's top cover can't be removed for cleaning.
Mattress Layers
The first two layers of the Hollycourt are foam layers, followed by its individually pocketed coils, and base layer:
- 1st Layer: 1.25" of Sealy's convoluted GelBoost HD memory foam. This gel-infused foam offers a cooling effect and helps improve airflow in the mattress.
- 2nd Layer: 3" of SealySupport gel-HD foam arrives pre-compressed. This layer is CertiPUR-US® certified, but it's not clear if this certification applies to all layers. This foam offers additional cushioning and prevents you from feeling the springs in the next layer.
- 3rd Layer: 9" of individually pocketed SealyResponse™ coils offers support and responsiveness, reducing motion transfer.
- 4th Layer: 0.5" of unspecified fibre to add stability and prevent noise or scratches from the coil layer above.
Mattress Cover
The Sealy Posturepedic Hollycourt has a Euro-top construction. Euro-top mattresses have extra comfort material that's sewn flush to the border of the mattress for a uniform look. The Hollycourt top cover uses a white fabric with an elongated hexagon pattern, while the side panels use the same design, inverted in black for contrast. The top and side panels are separated by a black gusset.
Hollycourt's mattress cover is made of Sealy CleanProtect fabric: a 100% polyester material that has an antibacterial treatment. 0.5" of MoistureProtect fibres are also quilted directly into the Euro-top cover, which Costco says are designed to wick moisture away from your body.
Hollycourt's cover isn't removable or machine-washable, so stains and spills should be spot-cleaned only. Stains on the cover void your warranty, so Sealy suggests using the mattress with a mattress protector.
Mattress Testing
To ensure our mattress reviews are thorough and trustworthy, we buy the products ourselves and have them tested by independent licensed engineers (commissioned by us) with no stake in the results.
These third-party engineers apply a consistent testing process to every mattress using a detailed framework. Every mattress is tested the same way, whether it's foam or hybrid. Because these types perform differently, we rate them on separate scales to ensure the scores are fair and meaningful.
We believe independent testing is essential to producing reliable and meaningful comparisons. That's why all test results are reviewed and signed off by an APEGA-certified engineer, operating under a strict code of ethics.
We use the testing results and over 40 criteria to build our scoring methodology.
Tests and reviews without this level of professional oversight may be more prone to errors and unintended bias.

Delivery & Other Policies
Sealy Posturepedic Hollycourt is available both in-store and online at Costco. Shipping is free for online orders. For an extra $75, you have the option to upgrade to White Glove delivery with Haul Away service, to have your old mattress removed upon delivery of the new one. The mattress should be delivered in 7–10 business days. The mattress we bought was delivered to us fully expanded.
When purchasing a mattress through Costco, you won't receive a sleep trial. Costco is known for its generous return policy, but your return still needs to be approved before you can get your money back. Costco will only provide return pickup if you order the mattress online. If you purchase in-store, you'll need to bring it back to the warehouse yourself.
The Hollycourt offers a 10-year limited warranty, covering manufacturing defects. As long as you use proper mattress bases and protectors, you'll be covered for any premature divots, rips, and other defects.

Company Overview
Sealy began making custom mattresses in the 1880s, taking its name from the Texas town where it was founded. By the 1920s, it had become a major player in the mattress industry. The company introduced its well-known Posturepedic line in the early 1950s.
In 2012, Sealy merged with competitor Tempur-Pedic to form Tempur Sealy International, Inc. As of February 2025, the parent company now operates under the name Somnigroup International. It also owns the Stearns & Foster brand.
Customer Reviews & Feedback
Third-party review sites like the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and Trustpilot collect and publish customer feedback about companies and their products, and aren't controlled by the companies being reviewed. Checking ratings on sites like these can be a useful way for customers to make more informed purchasing decisions.
Currently, Sealy holds a "A-" (unaccredited) rating on the Better Business Bureau, but a customer review rating of only 1/5 STARS. On Trustpilot, Sealy is rated "Poor" with a customer review rating of 2.2/5.
Should You Buy Sealy Posturepedic Hollycourt?
Sealy Posturepedic Hollycourt
Queen
$749
Costco members looking for a queen-sized mattress might be interested in the Sealy Posturepedic Hollycourt. It's affordably priced, has very good edge support, good motion isolation, and is backed by Costco's return policy. That said, you won't get a sleep trial through Costco, and Sealy has low customer ratings on review sites like BBB (1/5 stars) and Trustpilot (2.2/5 stars). Hollycourt might be the mattress for you if you want:
- A queen-sized hybrid mattress
- To purchase your mattress from a trusted retailer like Costco
- To try out the mattress in-store before you purchase
We think you should consider the Logan & Cove Choice instead. Choice is a Canadian-made hybrid mattress with cooling features and zoned support. It comes with a 365-night sleep trial, free returns with full refunds, and a 15-year warranty. You'll also get a free bedding bundle. The brand's parent company, GoodMorning.com, is rated "A+" on BBB with a customer review rating of 4.9/5 stars, and is rated "Excellent" on Trustpilot.

Are Costco Sealy mattresses good?
The Sealy Posturepedic Hollycourt earned solid scores in third-party engineer testing (commissioned by us), especially for its edge support. That said, it's sold exclusively through Costco. You'll need a Costco membership to buy the mattress, and it doesn't come with a sleep trial. If you purchase in-store, returns need to be brought back to the warehouse, with approval needed before your refund can be processed.
In comparison, companies like Logan & Cove offer a 365-night sleep trial, a 15-year warranty, and free delivery and return pickup. You also get a free bedding bundle with your purchase, which is something you won't get from Costco.
Does Sealy own Tempur-Pedic?
In 2012, the Sealy and Tempur-Pedic mattress brands merged to form Tempur Sealy International, Inc. As of February 2025, Tempur-Sealy has changed its name to Somnigroup International. The parent company now owns and operates both the Tempur-Pedic and Sealy brands.
How long is the Sealy warranty?
The warranty on Sealy Posturepedic Hollycourt is a 10-year limited manufacturer's warranty. In Hollycourt's case, this warranty is provided through Costco. You'll need to contact Costco in case of a warranty claim.
The Sealy warranty specifies that their mattresses must be used on quality foundations that provide "continuous support" and are found to be "adequate" by Sealy. The warranty will cover ripped handles or protruding springs, but not superficial damage to your mattress, such as stains, burns, or a soiled cover.
What Sealy mattress alternatives should I consider?
You should consider Logan & Cove Choice. Logan & Cove makes their hybrid mattresses in Canada, for Canadians. Made with a combination of foams and pocketed coils, Choice performs very well in both motion isolation and edge support. It also comes with a 365-night sleep trial, a 15-year warranty, and a free bedding bundle with every purchase.

All the content on our site, from product reviews to comparisons, is intended to provide general information to help guide your mattress search. We work with independent third-party engineers to test all mattress products we purchase, and we use the test results alongside public data to inform our reviews and comparisons.
The product details in each review reflect how the mattress performed at the time we purchased and tested it, as shown by the "Published" date.
Since brands can update their materials, pricing, or availability over time, we also note when the product was originally purchased, either directly in the article or on our disclaimer page, to maintain clarity and transparency.
If you see an "Updated" tag on a page with a more recent date than the published date, it simply means we've made editorial changes. It does not necessarily indicate any update to the mattress or its test data.
Finally, unless otherwise stated, any mention of where a mattress is made refers specifically to the product we received and tested.
