The Silk & Snow Organic is a hybrid mattress made with organic materials. It’s available in plush, medium-firm, and firm models. We cover the medium-firm version in this review, which is 12″ tall and has 3.8 internal layers. In third-party engineer testing (commissioned by us), it scored well for edge support and motion isolation.
As its name suggests, the S&S Organic includes a cotton cover made from organic fibres. It also has perforated latex foam and breathable metal coils. These materials offer some cooling, but the mattress doesn’t include some of the more common temperature-regulating features found in non-organic models, like cooling gel foam.
Logan & Cove Choice, by comparison, includes several cooling features: gel foam, airflow-promoting coils, and nanofibre fabric woven into the top layer. It also uses open-cell Elastex® foam, and is available at just $999 for a queen size.

Silk & Snow Mattress Construction
The S&S Organic mattress is 12" tall and is built with 4 layers. All foam layers in this mattress are CertiPUR-US® certified, the latex used is GOLS-certified, and all other textile materials are OEKO-TEX® certified.
Mattress Layers
- 1st Layer: 1" of Natural Wool to add plushness and comfort to the mattress when you lie down.
- 2nd Layer: 1" of perforated, natural Dunlop latex foam to circulate air and cool sleepers off. Latex is also a "springy" material, which adds a responsive feel to the mattress.
- 3rd Layer: 1.5" of perforated, natural Dunlop latex foam (identical to the layer above) to add additional breathability and springiness to the mattress.
- 4th Layer: 8.5" of pocket coils zoned to give extra support where you need it most, like your lower back. Firmer coils in the middle section of the mattress help support your spine through the night.
Mattress Cover
The S&S Organic features a breathable, GOTS-certified organic cotton cover, designed to disperse heat from the body. The cover has a distinct white and green pillow-top design, with the Silk & Snow brand logo displayed at the foot of the mattress. The cover is not removable and is not machine washable, so you will have to spot-clean any stains or spills.

Silk & Snow ships their mattresses compressed in a box, which is delivered to your door in 2–9 business days depending on your location. Shipping is free across most of Canada, though extra fees may apply in some remote areas. The mattress arrives rolled in protective plastic.
S&S Organic comes with a 365-night sleep trial. Silk & Snow asks that you try the mattress for at least 30 nights before initiating a return. If you're not satisfied after that, Silk & Snow will arrange a free pickup and issue a full refund, as long as the mattress is in donatable condition (free of stains, tears, or damage).
Silk & Snow also includes a 15-year limited warranty. Defects are covered in full during the first 10 years. After that, repairs or replacements may be available for 75% of the original purchase price.
