Product Overview
The Haven LUX Hybrid is a 14″ tall hybrid latex mattress priced at $2,000 for a queen. It comes in two firmness options: Classic Firm and Classic + Advanced Pressure Relief. We tested the Classic + Advanced Pressure Relief (APR) version for this review.
In third-party engineer testing that we commissioned, the LUX Hybrid APR had good motion isolation but earned a low edge support score. Thanks to its responsive latex and coil layers, it also had above-average bounce. The LUX APR offers targeted pressure relief, meaning it could work for side and combination sleepers. That said, the APR model isn’t recommended for stomach sleepers since their hips might not get enough support.
If you’re comparing your options, you might like the Logan & Cove Pinnacle. Pinnacle is a medium-firm hybrid mattress that’s well-priced for its features at $1,699 for a queen. It’s made in Canada and features advanced cooling, three-zoned support to promote proper spinal alignment, responsive allergen-free Elastex® foam, and a Euro-top design for added comfort. Every purchase also includes a 365-night sleep trial, a 15-year warranty, and a free bedding bundle.

Haven LUX Hybrid Mattress Construction
Haven is a Canadian company that makes their mattresses locally. All foam used in this mattress is CertiPUR-US® certified, meaning it's made without harmful chemicals.
Mattress Layers
Haven LUX Hybrid contains 6 layers and measures 14" tall. This combination foam mattress combines layers of latex, memory foam, and coils with different cooling technologies.
- 1st Layer: 0.5″ layer of open-cell bio foam.
- 2nd Layer: 1" of Talalay latex and copper-infused foam designed to promote comfort and some level of cooling. This can help your body feel supported while reducing heat buildup during the night.
- 3rd Layer: 1″ layer of cooling gel memory foam that helps draw heat away and keeps the surface comfortable.
- 4th Layer: 1″ layer of open-cell foam that adapts to your body. In the Classic Plush + Advanced Pressure Relief model, this layer is softer in the center to better cushion your hips.
- 5th Layer: 1″ layer of micro coils that add extra contouring and responsive support.
- 6th Layer: 9″ support layer of individually wrapped metal coils. These coils allow for airflow, reduce motion transfer, and are zoned to encourage healthy spinal alignment.
Mattress Cover
The LUX Hybrid has a soft, white, plush bamboo-blend pillowtop cover with embossing and moisture-wicking properties. It has dark grey sidewalls, while the light blue piping around the pillowtop adds a nice pop of colour. The cover isn't removable, so the mattress can only be spot-cleaned.
Mattress Testing
To ensure our mattress reviews are thorough and trustworthy, we buy the products ourselves and have them tested by independent licensed engineers (commissioned by us) with no stake in the results.
These third-party engineers apply a consistent testing process to every mattress using a detailed framework. Every mattress is tested the same way, whether it's foam or hybrid. Because these types perform differently, we rate them on separate scales to ensure the scores are fair and meaningful.
We believe independent testing is essential to producing reliable and meaningful comparisons. That's why all test results are reviewed and signed off by an APEGA-certified engineer, operating under a strict code of ethics.
We use the testing results and over 40 criteria to build our scoring methodology.
Tests and reviews without this level of professional oversight may be more prone to errors and unintended bias.

Delivery & Other Policies
Haven delivers its mattresses across Canada with FedEx. Delivery to your home is free in most major cities, but fees apply if you're outside the free delivery zone. Most customers receive their order within 4–9 business days. A signature is required when the mattress arrives, so someone needs to be home for delivery.
You'll get a 100-night sleep trial to test out a Haven mattress at home. The company asks that you give it at least 30 nights before deciding to return it. If it's still not the right fit, Haven will offer a full refund. If you do keep the mattress, you'll get a 10-year warranty to back your mattress.
If you're looking for a longer sleep trial or warranty, consider a brand like Logan & Cove. It comes with a 365-night trial and a 15-year warranty, all for a lower price.

Company Overview
Haven launched in Canada in 2016 and is independently owned, with headquarters in Kelowna, BC. The company offers a 10-year warranty on its mattresses, which are sold exclusively online. Over the years, the brand has expanded its catalogue to include several mattress styles, as well as bedding, pillows, and mattress foundations. As part of its social initiative, Haven also donates one mattress for every 10 sold.
Customer Reviews & Feedback
Third-party review sites like the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and Trustpilot collect and publish customer feedback about companies and their products, and aren't controlled by the companies being reviewed. They offer a snapshot of overall customer satisfaction and highlight common issues shoppers might face. Checking ratings on sites like these can be a useful way for customers to make more informed purchasing decisions.
Haven is rated "A+" with the Better Business Bureau. While this can sometimes indicate good company practices, there aren't any customer reviews to reinforce this. The company also has no Trustpilot profile, so independent customer reviews are limited.

The Haven LUX Hybrid could be a good fit if you're after a hybrid mattress with cooling materials like latex and gel foam. The Advanced Pressure Relief model might work for side sleepers, while stomach sleepers should opt for Classic. Haven performed well for motion isolation but scored low on edge support. It's also priced higher than some similar Canadian-made mattresses.
- The option to get targeted pressure relief for your hips
- Cooling features like a breathable cover, gel memory foam, and latex layers
- A hybrid design with micro and pocket coils for both support and airflow
That said, if you're looking for a mattress with strong cooling features, a longer 365-night trial period, and a 15-year warranty, you might want to consider Logan & Cove Pinnacle. It offers motion isolation and edge support, zoned support for spinal alignment, and a free bedding bundle with your purchase, all at a lower price of $1,699 for a queen size.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Haven a good mattress?
The Haven LUX Hybrid offers solid cooling features and performs well in engineering testing scores like motion isolation, making it an option for sleepers who want a Canadian-made mattress with latex.
That said, it's priced at $2,000 for a queen, which is higher than some other similar options. For example, the Logan & Cove Pinnacle comes in at $1,699 for a queen size. Pinnacle includes cooling features, targeted pressure relief and zoned support, a 365-night sleep trial, and a 15-year warranty. That means with Logan & Cove, you're getting plenty of features at a lower price point.
Is the Haven LUX Hybrid mattress cover removable or machine washable?
The Haven LUX Hybrid's cover isn't removable or machine-washable. Haven recommends spot cleaning spills or stains using water or a mild detergent.
Where are Haven mattresses made?
Haven makes its mattresses in Canada. It has manufacturing facilities in Moncton, Calgary, and Toronto.
What are the firmness options available for the Haven LUX Hybrid mattress?
Haven LUX Hybrid comes in two support options: Classic Firm and Classic + Advanced Pressure Relief (APR). The APR model's middle section is designed to be softer to allow your hips to sink in more, and might help eliminate some pressure points. That said, most other mattress brands offer a zoned support option with a firmer mid-section, which helps promote spinal alignment. The company recommends against stomach sleepers choosing the APR version, since the softer mid-section might not offer enough support to keep their hips aligned.
What Haven LUX Hybrid alternatives should I consider?
We think that Logan & Cove Pinnacle is a good Haven mattress alternative. At a lower price point, it offers a longer sleep trial and warranty, several cooling features, and comes with a free bedding bundle that includes a cotton sheet set, pillow(s), pillow protector(s), and a mattress protector.

All the content on our site, from product reviews to comparisons, is intended to provide general information to help guide your mattress search. We work with independent third-party engineers to test all mattress products we purchase, and we use the test results alongside public data to inform our reviews and comparisons.
The product details in each review reflect how the mattress performed at the time we purchased and tested it, as shown by the "Published" date.
Since brands can update their materials, pricing, or availability over time, we also note when the product was originally purchased, either directly in the article or on our disclaimer page, to maintain clarity and transparency.
If you see an "Updated" tag on a page with a more recent date than the published date, it simply means we've made editorial changes. It does not necessarily indicate any update to the mattress or its test data.
Finally, unless otherwise stated, any mention of where a mattress is made refers specifically to the product we received and tested.
