The Casper is a 3-layer memory foam mattress from Casper Canada, a brand owned by Sleep Country. Priced at $1,499 for a queen, it has a medium-firm feel, and comes with a 100-night sleep trial and a 10-year warranty. It’s available to buy online from either Casper or Sleep Country, and also in-store at Sleep Country locations.
The Endy is a foam mattress made in Canada. It’s available in firm, medium-firm, and plush feels, and has a machine-washable top cover. The medium-firm model is priced at $895 for a queen size, and it comes with a 100-night sleep trial as well as a default 10-year warranty.
Casper Canada and Endy are two popular mattress brands in Canada that are both owned by Sleep Country. Both brands offer a range of mattress styles and firmnesses, but for this review, we’ll focus on each brand’s all-foam model.
The Endy mattress comes in 3 firmness options. The medium-firm model costs $895 for a queen and comes with a 100-night sleep trial and a default 10-year warranty. Shoppers can upgrade their default warranty to 15 years if they register as an “Endy VIP”.
The Casper mattress also includes a 100-night sleep trial and a 10-year warranty. It comes in a single medium-firm option, which is priced at $1,499 for a queen.
While the Endy and Casper mattresses share similarities, such as their medium-firm feel, and trial and warranty lengths, their construction and design cater to slightly different sleep styles and needs, especially when it comes to support and comfort.
If you’re comparing these two with a limited budget in mind and are looking for a straightforward mattress that delivers comfort and support at a more affordable price, Endy is a good option. Its simple 3-layer design and washable cover make it practical for everyday use. Plus, it comes with an industry-standard length sleep trial and warranty (by default).
Casper offers a bit more in terms of cooling, making it a good option if you want some extra breathability. Some Casper models are also on-display in Sleep Country stores, giving you a better chance to try out the mattress before you buy it. It’ll be up to you to decide if the higher cost is worth these features.
That said, if you want a mattress with a longer trial and washable cover at a lower price than either Endy or Casper, Douglas is also worth checking out.

The Casper is an all-foam mattress designed with open-cell foam to promote airflow. It’s part of Casper Canada’s upgraded foam lineup and is only available in one firmness level: medium firm.
In third-party engineer testing we commissioned, The Casper did well in a few key areas. It had very good edge support, good motion isolation, and average bounce, which can be helpful if you share your bed and prefer fewer sleep disruptions.
The Casper mattress is priced at $1,499 for a queen and includes a 100-night sleep trial and a 10-year warranty. If you buy directly from Casper, returns are free and come with a full refund during the trial period. You can also buy Casper through Sleep Country, though their return policy is slightly different. They offer a one-time mattress exchange only, with a $65 fee. You’ll also need to take the mattress in-store for any returns or exchanges, whereas Casper will pick up the mattress.

The Endy is a medium-firm foam mattress with a soft, breathable knit cover. It’s made in Canada and comes in three firmness levels, each at a different price point. The medium-firm model we tested retails at $895 for a queen size, and offered great edge support and motion isolation, plus lots more bounce than Casper.
Endy provides a 100-night sleep trial and a 10-year warranty, which are about average for the mattress industry. The warranty can be extended to 15 years by registering as an Endy VIP.
Even though Endy is also owned by Sleep Country, you won’t find it in their showrooms. Endy does, however, have a couple of their own standalone showrooms. That means Endy buyers should all qualify for full refunds and free returns during the trial. The brand will even arrange pickups for donation or recycling.

Both The Endy and The Casper mattresses are made in Canada and use a 3-layer foam construction designed to offer a balance of comfort and support.

The Casper mattress is listed as being 10″ tall, though the model we tested measured just under that. All the foam used in The Casper is CertiPUR-US® certified.
The Casper mattress has a colour-blocked cover in light and dark grey. It’s made from a mix of new and recycled polyester, rayon, recycled cotton, and spandex. The law labels on our test model gave conflicting instructions about whether the cover could be machine-washed. But since Casper’s Canadian website recommends spot-cleaning spills only, we suggest following that advice, too.

Standing at 10″ tall, all foams used in The Endy are CertiPUR-US® certified.
The Endy mattress has a two-tone cover with a soft white top and a sturdy grey base. The white top section features a diamond-knit pattern and is made mostly of polyester, with a bit of spandex added for stretch. It can be unzipped and machine-washed when needed to make cleaning the mattress a little easier.

Both the Endy and Casper mattresses fall within the medium-firm range, making them suitable for most sleeping positions. In third-party engineering tests we commissioned, Endy received a firmness score of 6.4/10, and Casper scored very similarly at 6.3/10. Both mattresses provide a balanced feel that should work well for side, back, stomach, and combination sleepers.
Although neither mattress is equipped with advanced cooling technology, both feature open-cell foam in the top layer to promote airflow. Endy uses gel-infused foam for more cooling, while Casper opts for a perforated foam layer. For cooling features, Endy scored 3.0/10, and Casper performed slightly better with a score of 2.8/10.
If you’re looking for a mattress with better cooling capabilities, you might want to consider the Douglas Original mattress, which has a cooling score of 5.0/10.
Where Casper Differs:
Where Endy Differs:
These third-party engineers apply a consistent testing process to every mattress using a detailed framework. Every mattress is tested the same way, whether it’s foam or hybrid. Because these types perform differently, we rate them on separate scales to ensure the scores are fair and meaningful.
We believe independent testing is essential to producing reliable and meaningful comparisons. That’s why all test results are reviewed and signed off by an APEGA-certified engineer, operating under a strict code of ethics.
We use the testing results and over 40 criteria to build our scoring methodology.
Tests and reviews without this level of professional oversight may be more prone to errors and unintended bias.

Both Endy and Casper deliver mattresses for free to most areas in Canada. Endy uses FedEx and Frontier for shipping, while Casper uses UPS. Additional fees may apply for remote locations, and Casper doesn't deliver to the Canadian Territories.
Endy ships from warehouses in Ontario and Alberta. Delivery usually takes 1–7 business days. Casper's delivery time is 5–15 business days, but they don't specify where their mattresses come from. You can also find Casper products at some Sleep Country locations.
Both brands package their mattresses in a cardboard box, protected with multiple layers of plastic. After the unboxing process, the mattress inflates within just a few minutes and is ready for use on the same day. Both Casper and Endy offer a 100-night sleep trial, along with free return options. If the mattress doesn't end up working out, you can reach out to their customer service teams to organize a pickup. Typically, returned mattresses are donated to a nearby charity.
One thing to note: If you buy your Casper mattress through Sleep Country, the return policy is a bit different. Instead of a full refund, you'll get a one-time exchange, and there's a $65 fee. Sleep Country also doesn't offer return pick-ups, so you'll have to take the mattress back to your closest Sleep Country location yourself. Both Casper and Endy come with a 10-year warranty (although Endy's can be upgraded to 15 years), which is standard for all-foam mattresses available in Canada.
Third-party review sites like the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and Trustpilot collect and publish customer feedback about companies and their products, and aren't controlled by the companies being reviewed. They offer a snapshot of overall customer satisfaction and highlight common issues shoppers might face. Checking ratings on sites like these can be a useful way for customers to make more informed purchasing decisions.

If you're choosing between the Casper and Endy mattresses, both are solid options with a medium-firm feel, a 3-layer foam design, and similar policies that include a 100-night sleep trial and a 10-year warranty. These brands are well-known across Canada and provide comfort and support for a variety of sleepers.
That said, Endy and Casper aren't your only choices. If you are looking for a Canadian-made alternative that is more budget-friendly, consider the Douglas mattress. Priced at just $799 for a queen-size, Douglas costs less than both the Casper and Endy while still offering high-quality materials and strong performance ratings from third-party evaluations. Plus, Douglas comes with a longer 365-night sleep trial, a 20-year warranty, and a free bedding bundle.

The product details in each review reflect how the mattress performed at the time we purchased and tested it, as shown by the "Published" date.
Since brands can update their materials, pricing, or availability over time, we also note when the product was originally purchased, either directly in the article or on our disclaimer page, to maintain clarity and transparency.
If you see an "Updated" tag on a page with a more recent date than the published date, it simply means we've made editorial changes. It does not necessarily indicate any update to the mattress or its test data.
Finally, unless otherwise stated, any mention of where a mattress is made refers specifically to the product we received and tested.
