2025’s Best Canadian Hybrid Mattress
Logan & Cove Choice outperformed Casper Atlas in head-to-head mattress testing, based on our scoring system that includes third-party engineer testing (commissioned by us) and over 40+ criteria.
We include edge support and motion isolation in our overall mattress score, and we present these results using a simple colour system: green (5.0 and above), yellow (3.0–4.9), and red (2.9 and below). Cooling features aren’t part of the final rating, but we still use the same colour scale to show how each mattress performs. Firmness and bounce are more a matter of personal preference, so we display those scores in grey and exclude them from the overall score.

Logan & Cove Choice is a medium-firm hybrid mattress built to provide comfort for all sleep positions. It combines cooling foam layers with a sturdy coil support system to help keep you comfortable through the night. The cover is designed with CryoFusion™ cooling nanofibres, while the top layers use ecoLuxe® gel foam for contouring with pressure relief and Elastex® foam for added bounce.
Logan & Cove also has solid motion isolation and edge support, both of which are essential if you share your bed with a partner and want undisturbed sleep or like to sleep on the edge.
At just $999 for a queen, Logan & Cove Choice is one of the most affordable hybrid mattresses we've tested. It comes with a 365-night sleep trial, a 15-year warranty, and a free bedding bundle, which includes a sheet set, pillow(s), mattress protector, and pillow protector(s). You can also choose to upgrade to the Logan & Cove Frontier or Logan & Cove Pinnacle models for additional features, like enhanced cooling and pressure relief.

Casper Atlas is a medium-firm hybrid mattress made by Casper Canada. It combines 4 layers of foam and pocketed coils, plus a reinforced foam perimeter for better edge support. Atlas earned a great motion isolation score even though its bounce level was higher than average.
Casper Atlas has a breathable knit cover and layer of coils that help hot air escape. But the mattress doesn't include any additional cooling technologies to help balance temperatures throughout the night.
At $1,199 for a queen, Atlas is Casper's more affordable hybrid model. The mattress comes with a 100-night sleep trial and a 10-year warranty, which are standard for the mattress industry. Casper also sometimes offers free accessories or bundles with their mattresses, depending on certain sales periods.

Looking for a split-king hybrid mattress?
Both Logan & Cove Choice and Casper Atlas are medium-firm hybrid mattresses built with 4 layers, both available in Canada. The Choice is a bit taller at 12.5", while the Atlas measures 10" in height.

Logan & Cove Choice features a diamond-tufted quilting pattern on the top cover with CryoFusion™ cooling nanofibers. It has a white cover, dark grey sidewalls, and green piping along the cover of the mattress. Like lots of other hybrids, the cover isn't machine washable, but it's soft, breathable, and designed to pull heat away from the body.

Casper Atlas's Cozy Knit cover is made from polyester, polypropylene, and a small amount of spandex. Its top cover is white, and its sidewalls are grey and dark blue. Even though the cover has a zipper and the law label says it's machine washable, the Casper website says not to remove the mattress cover for any reason, and that it should be spot-cleaned only.

In third-party engineer testing that we commissioned, both Logan & Cove Choice and Casper Atlas mattresses were rated in the medium-firm range. This level of firmness usually works well for most sleepers, whether you sleep on your back, stomach, or side.
Both mattresses perform well when it comes to motion isolation. That means if your partner moves around at night, you're less likely to notice, especially helpful if you're a light sleeper.
Edge support is also solid on both, which makes a difference if you like to stretch out or sit along the edge. You won't feel like you're about to slide off the bed, which adds a nice sense of stability.
Where Logan & Cove Differs:
Where Casper Differs:
These third-party engineers apply a consistent testing process to every mattress using a detailed framework. Every mattress is tested the same way, whether it's foam or hybrid. Because these types perform differently, we rate them on separate scales to ensure the scores are fair and meaningful.
We believe independent testing is essential to producing reliable and meaningful comparisons. That's why all test results are reviewed and signed off by an APEGA-certified engineer, operating under a strict code of ethics.
We use the testing results and over 40 criteria to build our scoring methodology.
Tests and reviews without this level of professional oversight may be more prone to errors and unintended bias.
