#1 Logan & Cove: Best Hybrid Mattress for 2023

Overview
- Price (Queen): $999 CAD
- Sleep Trial: 365-nights
- Warranty: 15-years
- Made In: Canada
- Trustpilot Rating: 4.8/5 (Excellent)
- Better Business Bureau Rating: 4.85/5 (A+)
Key Features
Supportive 4-layer design
Silk-infused euro-top fill
Medium firm
Zoned support for extra lower-back support
Cooling gel foam
12-inch height
Why It’s Best
With its towering 12-inch height, five layers of premium materials, and impressive engineering test scores, the Logan & Cove easily wins Best Hybrid Mattress.
There has been a number of hybrid bed-in-a-box mattress brands that have entered the Canadian market over the past few years. However, the Logan & Cove is loaded with luxurious features that competitors Silk & Snow, Hamuq, and Haven don’t have.
The Logan & Cove mattress’s euro-top and mattress layers are constructed with a luxurious silk-blend fill, cooling gel foam, and soy-infused bio-foam. Each Logan & Cove mattress has 8-inch zoned pocket coils for extra lower-back support. It also has a perimeter foam encasement for additional edge support. Finally, the mattress cover is a Tencel®, polyester and spandex blend.
On top of luxurious features, Logan & Cove has approximately 5,000 customer-verified reviews and has excellent third-party review ratings on Trustpilot and Better Business Bureau. Each mattress is handcrafted in Canada, comes with a 365-night sleep trial, and a 15-year year warranty, which easily helps Logan & Cove to stand out amongst its competitors.
Available in the medium firm option, the Logan & Cove mattress will suit many different types of sleepers. Finally, priced at just $999 for a queen, the Logan & Cove mattress offers the same premium features as longtime luxury brands like Stearns & Foster and Simmons Beautyrest at a more attractive price.
★★★★★
The Best Sleep I Have Ever Had.
“All of the reviews were spot on. It’s soft but not too soft. I am a side sleeper, and it has been perfect for me. It’s not hot for my partner, which I what we really needed.”

#2 Brunswick: Runner-Up Hybrid Mattress

Overview
- Price (Queen): $999 CAD
- Sleep Trial: 120-nights
- Warranty: 15-years
- Made In: Canada
- Trustpilot Rating: 4.8/5 (Excellent)
- Better Business Bureau Rating: 4.85/5 (A+)
Key Features
Cooling gel foam
12-inch height
8-inch zoned pocket coils
Euro-top design
Medium-firm mattress with a cushioning comfort layer
Why It’s Best
Brunswick is a Canadian-made mattress designed for shoppers looking for the feel of a classic coil-based bed with the modern convenience of online shopping and hassle-free delivery.
The Brunswick mattress has four individual layers, including a cushioning Euro-top cover, cooling gel and eight inches of zoned pocketed coils. The hybrid design and quality materials give Brunswick a pleasing combination of pressure relief and total-body support for all sleep styles.
Brunswick’s three zones of pocketed steel coils are reinforced in the central third of the mattress to keep the heavier parts of your body from sinking too deeply. The coils under the neck and shoulders are lighter to prevent pain points from forming. This premium feature is often reserved for higher-priced mattresses, so it’s a great value add for budget shoppers.
With a starting price of $799 CAD for a made-in-Canada hybrid mattress, Brunswick is one of the most affordable brands in its category. Each mattress also comes with a 120-night sleep trial and 15-year warranty, which is a more appealing offering in comparison to other mid-market hybrid mattresses on the market.
We recommend Brunswick for sleepers who want the body-contouring comfort of a pillow-top mattress but require some added support to maintain proper alignment while they sleep.
★★★★★
We Have Been So Happy!
“We have been so happy having better sleep with no back pain after we changed to this King size Brunswick mattress from only 5 year old Beautyrest pillow top mattress. We love the right firmness and I do not feel much when my husband gets up middle of the night. Thank you for making the great product.”

#3 Hamuq

Overview
- Price (Queen): $1,050 CAD
- Sleep Trial: 120-nights
- Warranty: 15-years
- Made In: Canada
- Trustpilot Rating: 3.2/5 (Average)
- Better Business Bureau Rating: Not Accredited
Key Features
13-inch height
Cloud Tech™ Soft foam
Cloud Tech™ Comfort foam
Gel foam
8-inch pocket coils
Why the Hamuq Hybrid Didn’t Make the Top 2
Launched in 2016, the Hamuq mattress is a Canadian hybrid mattresses delivered in a box.
Priced at $1,050 CAD for a queen-size mattress, Hamuq falls within the mid-market price point. Although Hamuq has an 120-night sleep trial, and a 15-year warranty, it lacks many of the features that its competitors have like zoned support and cooling gel foam. The lack of crucial features was one of the main factors that prevented Hamuq from getting a top spot on our list.
The Hamuq mattress is made with six layers. The pillow-top features a polyester fill and comfort foam. From there, the comfort layers are comprised of Cloud Tech™ Soft foam and Cloud Tech™ Comfort foam. The transition layer is comprised of TRS Adaptive Gel™ foam. The support layers are made with 8-inch pocketed coils and bio-foam. Finally, the mattress is wrapped with a spot-clean only cotton, felt, and polyester cover.
The Hamuq mattress does not have reinforced coils in the central third of the mattress where the most body weight concentrates. Typically, this style of mattress is more susceptible to sagging over time than mattresses with a zoned coil layout.
It also has significantly less customer reviews than you would expect from a mattress that has been on the market since 2016. The Hamuq mattress has less than 2,000 customer reviews. In contrast, the Logan & Cove mattress has nearly 5,000 customer reviews.
#4 Silk & Snow Hybrid

Overview
- Price (Queen): $900 CAD
- Sleep Trial: 100-nights
- Warranty: 15-years
- Made In: Canada
- Trustpilot Rating: 2.4/5 (Poor)
- Better Business Bureau Rating: 2.33/5 (B-)
Key Features
Tufted polyester cover
12-inch height
Zoned pocket coils
Soybean-oil memory foam
Perimeter edge support
Why the Silk & Snow Hybrid Didn’t Make the Top 3
The Silk & Snow Hybrid mattress didn’t make one of the top spots on our list for several reasons. As the cost of materials has shot up over the past year, Silk & Snow has kept their mattress prices relatively stable; they raised their prices back in December of 2021, but only by $50.
To do so, Silk & Snow changed its top-selling product line. For one, they found a new supplier for their steel coils. But more noticeably, the product’s construction changed, from three foam layers to just two. Where the 1-inch transition layer used to be, now the cooling gel foam layer below has been expanded by another inch to fill that space.
It’s also noticeably softer than its predecessor. Shoppers who suffer from back, hip, or joint pain may also find the Silk & Snow Hybrid mattress too soft.
Lastly, Silk & Snow may not be as well established as some of its closest competitors. The brand has struggled to gain traction in Canada, as seen by its poor review scores with Trustpilot and the Better Business Bureau.
Price-sensitive sleepers prioritizing brand reputation and customer service should consider Logan & Cove instead. The company has an A+ rating on the Better Business Bureau and great customer reviews on Trustpilot.
#5 Haven LUX Hybrid

Overview
- Price (Queen): $1,850 CAD
- Sleep Trial: 100-nights
- Warranty: 10-years
- Made In: Canada
- Trustpilot Rating: No Reviews
- Better Business Bureau Rating: 3.5/5 (A+)
Key Features
6-layer design
14-inch height
Micro-coils and pocketed coils
Pillow-top construction
Bambo-blend mattress cover
Why the Haven LUX Hybrid Didn’t Make the Top 3
Haven LUX Hybrid is a pillow-top hybrid mattress made by Canadian-based Haven Sleep Co. Since the company launched in 2016, Haven Sleep Co. has expanded its catalogue and has been featured on HGTV Canada shows like Love It or List It and Island of Bryan.
The Haven LUX Hybrid mattress has materials known to help with temperature regulation, a choice of two firmness options, and micro-coil and pocketed coil layers to improve support and body contouring. It also has a layer of natural latex, which makes it a niche mattress style among direct-to-consumer brands.
Canadian shoppers should be prepared to pay $1,850 CAD for a queen-size Haven LUX Hybrid. That places it near the upper end of luxury hybrid mattresses. Despite its luxury price tag, the Haven LUX Hybrid fails to deliver on one of the most critical features that a hybrid mattress should offer; good edge support.
According to the testing conducted by third-party engineers (commissioned by us), its edge-support rating is 3.2 / 10. Haven LUX Hybrid’s edge support rating is the lowest ever given to a pillow-top mattress on Mattress-Reviews.com.
It also has significantly less customer reviews than you would expect from a brand with TV appearances on a national network. The Haven LUX mattress has less than 1,000 customer reviews. In contrast, the Logan & Cove mattress has nearly 5,000 customer reviews.
#6 Simba 2500

Overview
- Price (Queen): $1,649 CAD
- Sleep Trial: 100-nights
- Warranty: 10-years
- Made In: Canada
- Trustpilot Rating: 4.4/5 (Excellent)
- Better Business Bureau Rating: Not Available
Key Features
4-layer design
12-inch height
Graphite-infused memory foam
1-inch micro-coils
Antimicrobial top cover
Why the Simba 2500 Didn’t Make the Top 3
The Simba mattress launched in the UK in 2016. It quickly took off in Europe before being brought to Canada by Sleep Country. In 2020, the brand moved manufacturing for all its Canadian orders from China to Canada.
The Simba 2500 is a good mattress with niche features like graphite-infused memory foam and micro-coils that will be sure to catch the eyes of a few shoppers that are looking for the most advanced features in a mattress. But a few significant areas for improvement had the mattress come up short compared to its competitors.
First and foremost, is price. With a price tag of $1,649 CAD, the Simba 2500 mattress is significantly more expensive than other Canadian mattresses with similar (or better) offerings. The Simba 2500 comes with a 100-night sleep trial and 10-year warranty. However, since the Simba mattress is exclusively available at Sleep Country, it can only returned to Sleep Country for an in-store credit. Customers must also pay an exchange fee of $50 CAD to cover the delivery of a new item and removal of the return mattress.
Finally, according to third-party engineer test results, the Simba 2500 mattress earned a firmness rating of 3.2 / 10. This would classify the mattress as “soft”. If you weigh more than 150 lbs, you may find that you sink a bit more than you might like. This will be especially concerning for back or stomach sleepers, who typically require a bit more firmness to sleep comfortably.
#7 Endy Hybrid

Overview
- Price (Queen): $1,250 CAD
- Sleep Trial: 100-nights
- Warranty: 15-years (Conditional)
- Made In: Canada
- Trustpilot Rating: 3.6/5 (Average)
- Better Business Bureau Rating: Unaccredited
Key Features
4-layer design
13-inch height
Zoned pocket coils
Euro-top construction
Endy comfort foam
Why the Endy Hybrid Didn’t Make the Top 3
Endy, owned by Sleep Country, is one of Canada’s most well-known bed-in-a-box mattress brands. Since the Endy mattress arrived on the scene, it has stuck to selling its lone, foam-based mattress. In 2022, the brand launched the Endy Hybrid, its first hybrid mattress.
Despite the brand’s paid partnerships with social media influencers and lifestyle blogger, Endy has yet to see such efforts translate to positive reviews from actual customers. On Trustpilot, Endy only rates as “Average,” and the brand is unaccredited by the Better Business Bureau. But there are other reasons why Endy didn’t land one of the top spots on our list.
Selling for $1,250 CAD, the Endy Hybrid falls squarely into the mid-market price category. Shoppers might also be excited to see that the hybrid features zoned pocketed coils. Still, it does not come with cooling gel foam, high-density memory foam, or the sought-after pillow top that many competitors offer.
However, the biggest drawback would be the Endy Hybrid’s firmness. While most hybrid mattresses emphasize firmness and support, the Endy Hybrid is one the softest hybrid mattresses we’ve reviewed on this website. Like the Silk & Snow Hybrid, heavier shoppers who suffer from back, hip, or joint pain may also find this mattress too soft.
#8 DreamCloud

Overview
- Price (Queen): $1,399
- Sleep Trial: 365-nights
- Warranty: Lifetime
- Made In: USA
- Trustpilot Rating: 2.6/5 (Poor)
- Better Business Bureau Rating: 1/5
Key Features
1% Cashmere cover
14-inch height
5-layer design
Shift-resistant lower cover
Why DreamCloud Didn’t Make the Top 3
DreamCloud is a hybrid mattress that’s been on the market since 2018 and was made available in Canada in December 2022. Although the DreamCloud comes with a 365-night sleep trial and a “Lifetime Warranty,” there a few major drawbacks that customers should be aware of.
Commissioned third-party engineer testing concluded that DreamCloud has a firmness rating of 5.7 / 10. DreamCloud tied with the Endy Hybrid as the softest hybrid mattress ever tested by Mattress-Reviews.com. If you weigh over 125 pounds or like to sleep on your back and stomach, DreamCloud may not have enough support.
Selling at $1,399 for a queen, the DreamCloud sits above of the mid-market price point. However, it lacks luxury features offered by its Canadian competitors at lower price points like zoned support, high-density memory foam, or cooling gel foam.
Finally, DreamCloud’s reputation when the brand isn’t in control of the narrative is a cause for concern. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has fined the company multiple times for false advertising claims. It’s also ranked #2 on a pinned r/Mattress subreddit post for top brands to avoid, with sister brand Nectar taking the top spot.
#9 Casper Wave Hybrid

Overview
- Price (Queen): $3,995 CAD
- Sleep Trial: 100-nights
- Warranty: 10-years
- Made In: Canada
- Trustpilot Rating: 3.9/5 (Great)
- Better Business Bureau Rating: 1.09/5
Key Features
5-layer design
13-inch height
Zoned support
Gel Pods
AirScape foam layers
Why the Casper Wave Hybrid Didn’t Make the Top 3
Casper is one of the most well-known mattress brands in North America. Known for its splashy advertising campaigns, the brand has been making headlines for overspending and operating at a loss year over the past few years.
While some shoppers may be ready to pay Casper’s exorbitant prices, those on a tighter budget and requiring a more supportive mattress should look elsewhere. The Wave Hybrid Mattress will cost its Canadian buyers a staggering $3,995 CAD for a queen. That number jumps to $4,495 CAD for customers who opt for the Snow Technology cooling upgrade.
The Wave Hybrid offers zoned firmness with the help of its unique supportive gel pods. They’re placed under your waist and lower back to prevent sinking and promote spinal alignment. That being said, the mattress is only medium-firm and may not provide enough support for heavier individuals or those with back problems.
Competitors like Logan & Cove (our pick for Best Hybrid Mattress for 2023) offer more features and come in at a more competitive price ($999 CAD vs $3,995 CAD). Logan & Cove offers silk and satin flourishes, an extra two inches of mattress height, and an extended sleep trial and mattress warranty.
Final Thoughts
Finding the right mattress is essential to getting a good night’s sleep. The right hybrid mattress will provide the perfect balance of pressure relief, motion, edge support, temperature regulation, and durability.
The Top 3 Best Hybrid Mattresses on our list have been chosen for their ability to meet these criteria and provide the ultimate sleeping experience.
Now that you have all the information you need, it’s time to make a choice and start shopping. We hope that our guide has been helpful in your search for the perfect mattress for you. If you’re ready to take the next step and get the best price on one of our Top 3 Picks, click the links below!
