The Logan & Cove mattress was delivered to us within the expected delivery time. The Purple mattress was delivered to us in 11 days, 4 days more than the expected delivery time. Due to the fact that the Purple mattress used in this review was one of the first sold in Canada, logistics delays can occur when initially expanding into a new region or country. Purple state that delivery times in both the USA and Canada are 2-7 days as of April 2018.

Both mattresses were well protected by heavy-duty plastic layers within the boxes to protect the mattresses during shipping.

The Purple mattress bag was well-sealed with a zip enclosure. Customers are provided with a tool to assist in opening the protective layer. The bag also has sturdy handles sewn-in which make moving the rolled mattress much easier.

Once unzipped, the compressed mattress was easy to remove from the bag. A simple ‘tip, lift, and slide’ motion is what we recommend. Simply tip the bag into a horizontal position, lift the bag opposite the unzipped end, and let the mattress slide out of the bag. We recommend doing this process in the designated bedroom.

The Logan & Cove mattress box is sealed with heavy duty tape. Customers will definitely need scissors or a knife to open the box. Remember to be extra careful when opening the box with sharp objects.

Once opened, the compressed mattress is easy to remove from the box. A simple ‘tip-and-pull’ motion is what we recommend. Simply tip the box from a vertical position into a horizontal position and pull the mattress out of the box. We recommend doing this process in the designated bedroom.

The Purple mattress and Logan & Cove mattress are also both protected with multiple layers of heavy-duty plastic and customers will need to unwrap the first layer of plastic in order to change the mattress from a cylindrical shape into a flat, albeit compressed, shape.

Some helpful advice at this stage is to place the rolled Purple mattress or Logan & Cove mattress on to the designated bed frame, find the end of the outer layer plastic, pull it loose, and use the resulting momentum to roll the mattress into position on the frame. Once in position, remove that outer plastic layer. After completing this process, customers will see a folded and unrolled mattress. Simply unfold the mattress, the top cover will be facing up, and place the corners in the correct position on the frame or foundation.

Next, cut the final layer of plastic and the new Purple mattress or Logan & Cove mattress will start decompressing. Remove this final layer of plastic and the mattress should expand to its full height within a few minutes. Both the Purple mattress and Logan & Cove mattress took 1 minute to fully expand.

The Purple mattress and Logan & Cove mattress are constructed very differently. The Purple mattress is a combination polymer and foam mattress available in a single firmness. Similarly, Logan & Cove is a hybrid mattress that is also offered in a single firmness option.
